Students Receive Certification for Beginner Level Persian

Nineteen students from Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah Nairobi sat for their beginner level Persian Language examinations on the 9th and 10th of January, 2020. The examinations were conducted by the Iranian Cultural Centre in affiliation with the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. Faculty Member Takes Bronze at National Archery Competition

Mustafa F Shakir, a faculty member at Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah, Surat, won three bronze medals in the 9th National Field Indoor Archery Championship, held at Shanti Niketan Public School, Agra, from 24th to 26th, January 2020. He was part of a 16-member team representing Gujarat State in the tournament upon invitation from the President of the Gujarat Archery Association, Mr Ishwar Solanki. Mustafa won his three medals in the Veterans Category for single spot, five spot and overall performance.

Dean of Strathmore Business School Visits Aljamea Nairobi

The Executive Dean of Strathmore Business School Nairobi, Dr George Njenga visited Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah Nairobi on Saturday, the 18th of January, accompanied by a delegation of senior faculty members. As part of a collaboration between Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah and Strathmore University, more than 30 students and faculty members are pursuing a course in business studies concurrent with their education at Aljamea. On a Mission to Cleanup Mbagathi River

More than 30 students and faculty members from Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah, Nairobi, undertook a cleanup exercise of Mbagathi River on Sunday the 12th of January. They tackled a 500 metre stretch of the river as the first step towards a sustained effort to rid the river and its banks of plastic pollution. US State Department Delegation Visits Aljamea Nairobi

On Tuesday, the 19th of November, a delegation of US State Department officials and representatives from the US embassy in Nairobi visited Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah. Dr Karen Pinto Visits Aljamea Karachi

On Saturday, 16th November, Dr Karen C Pinto, a professor at Boise State University’s College of Innovation and Design and an eminent medieval Islamic maps expert visited Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah, Karachi. Aljamea Marol Continues the Fight Against Plastic Pollution

Since January 2019, Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah, Mumbai (Marol) has been actively participating in the Dawoodi Bohra community initiative to rid water bodies of plastic waste known as Turning the Tide. Every Sunday, groups of students and faculty members join Afroz Shah, community members and other volunteers to lend a hand in the cleanup of Mithi River and Versova beach in Mumbai. World Food Day Walk

In commemoration of World Food Day, the students and faculty of Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah, Nairobi joined members of the Dawoodi Bohra community for a seven kilometer walk through the heart of Nairobi to raise awareness about global hunger.
